BUZZARDS BAY - A 43-year-old Buzzards Bay man was arrested Friday at his
home after state police found $5,000 worth of marijuana and more than
$50,000 worth of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and motorcycle parts that
are believed to be stolen, according to the state police
Glenn Brackett, 43, of 44 Head of the Bay Road was taken into custody
after police executed two search warrants for his property following a
yearlong investigation by the state police, the Bourne police, the
office of Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe and other
state and federal authorities.
Police went to the house, which is across the street from a Hell's
Angels motorcycle clubhouse, at 7 a.m. Friday and found Brackett with a
loaded gun in his hand, the state police said.
After taking the gun from Brackett without incident, the house was
searched and police found three more loaded handguns, nine other guns,
$9,100 in cash, the marijuana, the frame of a 2002 Harley-Davidson
motorcycle with obliterated serial numbers, believed to be stolen from
Boston in 2002, a motor and a transmission, the police said.
A further search with a second warrant led officers to three other
Harley-Davidson motorcycles, believed to be stolen, in a storage
container in the yard.
Brackett was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent
to distribute, possession of stolen motor vehicles and possession of a
stolen motor vehicle with obliterated serial numbers, the police said.
Another person who lives at the house, Mary May Telles, 48, was arrested
on charges of possession of marijuana, the police said.
Brackett and Telles were arraigned at Falmouth District Court.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are being
considered, the police said.
